To help us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone, please read and follow the guidelines below:
Respect for the Venue
- As our facility is located within a primary school, we kindly ask all families to be mindful of school staff and pupils and to treat the venue with respect at all times.
- Please park bikes in the designated cycle parks. Bikes should not be brought onto the school grounds or ridden on site. The school has very strict rules around this for pupils, and it’s important that we as adults set the right example.
- Please avoid waiting or chatting near the fenced Nursery and Reception outdoor areas. If you are waiting between dropping off a sibling and the start of a swimming lesson, the school asks that you wait in the car park area, outside the playground boundary fence. Parents are not permitted to be inside pupil areas without DBS clearance, and the school must maintain strict safeguarding standards.
Supervision of Children
- All children not participating in a lesson—including siblings and babies—must remain under your direct supervision at all times.
- Children are not permitted to run around the pool, changing rooms, or outdoor areas. This is for their safety and the safety of others, especially as vehicles may be moving around outside.
Poolside Hygiene & Safety
- Please remove outdoor shoes before entering poolside or use the overshoes provided.
- Buggies are not allowed on poolside to maintain hygiene.
- Strictly no food is permitted anywhere on poolside.
- Please use the bins provided for general waste and used hand towels only. Soiled nappies, sanitary items, or any clinical waste must be taken home with you.
Lesson Times
- Students may only enter the pool during their designated lesson time.
Please do not enter the water early.
- At the end of your lesson, please get changed in the changing rooms (or on poolside) and leave quietly so as not to disturb the next class or other swimmers.
Responsibility
We take no responsibility for students, siblings, or accompanying family members outside of the swimming pool and designated lesson time. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children follow the facility rules and do not create safety risks for themselves or others.
